PM Internship Scheme 2024: The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India, has launched the Prime Minister (PM) Internship Scheme. Registrations for the PM Internship Scheme (PMIS) began on 12 October 2024. The internship will last for one year (12 months). Eligible candidates can apply online for the PM Internship Scheme 2024 through the official PM Internship Portal at pminternship.mca.gov.in.

What is the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme (PMIS)?

The Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme is a Government of India initiative providing internship opportunities to youth in the top 500 companies of India. The program offers exposure to real-life business environments across various sectors, helping them gain valuable skills and work experience. This scheme aims to provide one crore internships to youth over the next five years.

PM Internship Scheme 2024 Vacancy, Age & Eligibility Details

Who is not eligible for the PM Internship scheme?

You are not eligible to apply for the PM Internship Scheme if:

• You are below 21 years or above 24 years of age (as of the last date for application submission).
• You are currently engaged in full-time employment or full-time education.
• You have graduated from specific institutions such as IITs, IIMs, National Law Universities, IISER, NIDs, or IIITs.
• You hold qualifications like CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, BDS, MBA, PhD, or any master’s or higher degree recognized by UGC.
• You are undergoing any skill, apprenticeship, internship, or training program under a Central or State Government scheme.
• You have completed an apprenticeship under NATS or NAPS (National Apprenticeship Training Scheme or National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme).
• Your family’s income (self, parents, or spouse) exceeds ₹8 lakh for FY 2023-24.
• Any member of your family (self, parents, or spouse) is a permanent or regular government employee (excluding contractual employees), including Central/State Governments, PSUs, statutory organizations, and local bodies.

PM Internship Scheme 2024 Benefits

In addition to gaining industry experience, candidates will also receive the following monetary benefits:

• Monthly Allowance/Stipend of Rs. 5000/-
• One-time grant of Rs. 6000/-
